Nicole Drouillard, one of the folks behind Oh C.N.A.P. (Craft Night At Phog), decided to do the first yarn bombing I’m aware of in Windsor. Beginning with the bike rack in front of the bar, she has attached some of her work (often times it is scrap from unfinished projects) onto the post of the bike rack.
I can only hope to see more and more of this.
Watch to see what I mean.

I made a more in depth post about this on my blog:

I like how much attention this is getting. We plan to knit a lot more to make downtown look cozier : )
I’ll likely need to interview you about this ASAP for a Windsor Star piece. OK?
oh wow, okay. nicole too?
let me know when and where (i’m assuming phog lol?). i made some notes about my motivation for yarn bombing downtown, so i’m prepared : )
I can interview the two of you some time soon. Is there a day that works better for you? Let’s do this ASAP.
my schedule is completely open right now, so you’re probably better off talking to nicole. we both may be at phog tomorrow around 8pm, but that doesn’t seem like a prime interviewing time considering it’s a friday and those are busy and loud, lol.
ahh, the show isn’t until 10, so is around 8 good then?? nicole and i are sort of kind of planning to meet there tonight, so if it’s good, then great, and if not, we’ll be there soooon.
I love it!!! a bike rack cozy!!! i was hoping that somebody would go around and spray paint all the downtown racks (which are so boringly gray!!) all kinds of great colours but this is good too…. a little subtle but brilliant too.
