About

I have too many interests for my own good. At least I think that’s the case sometimes.
This blog is an opportunity to step away from all of those other projects to reflect on the other things that interest or fascinate me.
Some of the things I ingest:
-Podcasts by the ton.
-Basketball, pro and otherwise.
-Technology.
-Talk Radio (CBC, NPR, KCRW, APM, and more).
-Running a bar.
-Booking live (indie) music.
-Writing columns for daily paper about “what’s cool”.
-News.
-Magazines (to many).

Hey Tom, I couldn’t find your email address on the site. I was talking with Matt Baker today and he mentioned that you might be interested in showing the cross canada movie at Phog?

Email me so I can get you a proper DVD of the movie to show!

Hey Tom, I’m a big fan.
I will be having a show at ARTCITE gallery, opening May 8 culminating 10 years of Canadian Contemporary Sculpture. The show is a conceptual installation, hung salon style, of valourized Canadian artists’ work reduced to sihouetettes. Think of a Cole’s Notes to Canadian Contemporary art hung as “surrogates” to the originals. I’d love for your to be able to check out the show. I will have an invite sent on by ARTCITE. In the meantime, most of the work is on my website.
Thanks for your time,
Adam Matak

Tom,

My name is Miles Kelly and I am currently going to school at the University of Windsor, I’m not sure if you remember but you came in as a guest speaker to my class which I must say was very interesting. I couldn’t find your email so I figured I would post this on your blog, for my class we are involved in a group project to bring a big idea to Windsor that would benefit us in some way. My group decided to create a Music festival that would be held in downtown Windsor, the main focus of this festival would be to increase our awareness of the vast amount of local culture we have, also to get local music artists notices and benefit local businesses. I was wondering if you had any feedback at all with regards to who could give me some information on this, or if you could simply reply with a positive encouraging statement that we could use it would really help us out. Also any other feedback you could provide is greatly valued, thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully I will be hearing from you.

Hi,
I noticed you once did workshops on blogging, facebook and twitter at Mackenzie Hall Cultural Center. Might you offer that again?
Thank you.

tomlucier 11.01.10 at 6:15 pm

I’m currently taking on this workshop-giving with Twitter, Facebook, and blogging…
You can either sign up with mackenzie Hall for the blogging course this upcoming Thursday, or I can send you pricing for upcoming courses I’ll be giving at my new place, The House (131 Elliott St. W.).

Are you looking for basic instruction, or are you looking to learn the connecting, community-building, marketing options through Twitter and Facebook?

Tom, what’s going to be the follow up to Ignite??

Paul Boin 03.28.13 at 3:43 am

Hi Tom: I’ve been asked by a Detroit radio station person to compile a list of Alternative/Independent Media entities serving the Windsor. Aside from you blog roll can you suggest some alt/indy media outlets that should be on this list?
thanks, paul
please email me at pboin@uwindsor.ca
