On Wednesday, Tony and I spoke about the art oasis happening on Pillette Road and Wyandotte. There is talk that a fourth art gallery is moving into the area. In fact, it’s not talk, it happening.

Tony and I talked about Nancy Johns’ Gallery, to be specific, because of the pioneering she did in the area with her gallery, and the magnificent show she held called 24X24. The details are in the audio piece. Feel free to listen.

I’m really quite proud of this local arts scene, and I’m still cutting my teeth on knowing what this region has to offer.
Amazing.

Today we ran a piece about local Polaroid photographer, Jon Edwards…son of Elaine Weeks and Chris Edwards, local publishers and Windsor boosters.

Tony and I spoke about the upcoming show he is a part of, Nine Miles South of Eight Mile (The Windsor Biennial Show) going on at the Art Gallery of Windsor.

The show begins with an opening reception on Friday the 17th at 7pm. Fourteen artists were chosen from the Windsor/Detroit area, out of roughly 200 applicants. Jon Edwards, 19, is one of them.

Listen to our 6-minute discussion, if you have 6 minutes.
